Launched in 2022, our Sponsor a Spay campaign helps to pay for spays for cats and dogs in need.
Stray dogs and stray cats have a hard life on the street and often experience poor health and welfare conditions. Spaying and neutering are the only effective, humane means of managing stray animal populations, without which numbers can quickly spiral out of control and further exacerbate poor welfare conditions.
More spays, fewer strays
As well as managing stray animal populations, it's also crucial that owned animals - pet dogs and pet cats - do not contribute to the problem of abandoned animals by having unwanted litters. Unfortunately, spay and neuter surgeries can be prohibitively expensive for many low-income families or individuals facing hardship. Sponsoring or subsidising spay and neuter surgeries therefore provides an important lifeline for both pets and pet owners.

We work with organisations across Europe to help pay for spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats in need and to fund low-cost sterilisation projects.
